[Anime] 2011 Summer Season Anime: Recommendations and rants

A summary of the summer season animes that I've been watching~ (^^*)/

The main series that I have been following this season were (will write separate blog entries for these later):

- Natsume Yuu-Jin Chou: Story of a boy and his interactions with the yukan (ghost) world.... Love it! brings warm fuzzy feeling to the heart~ \(^////^)/

- Hanasaku Iroha: Tokyo girl ends up living in a countryside traditional Japanese hotel as a waitress~ Love this also~ was surprised that this was not based on a manga... but have mangas based on it~

- Ao no Exorcist: Story of the satan's son (who gives off blue flames) wanting to become an exorcist~ Started off really good~ even cried through one episode (the one with the cat demon... Q.Q poor kitty)... but then the story kinda turned mediocre... :T still follow it in hopes that it'll go back to how it was~

Natsume, Ohana and Rin from the above series~ <3

[Anime] Giant Killing: an anime for soccer/ football fans

bonbi (the hubby) has always been an avid fan of soccer~ on top of watching real life games from our favorite team Barcelona (go Xavi~ <3) he also has a team from nearly every league that he supports... and of course not forgetting to keep an eye on how the respect rival teams are doing (=.=;) during World Cup times he'd be crazy enough to support up to 3 different teams... (one from each continent....). On top of that... when there's no real life games going on... he'll be on the Xbox playing FIFA... sometimes to relive a game that has just been broadcasted hoping to change the past somehow... orz

Well recently, he found the perfect soccer anime for him to watch- Giant Killing by the author Masaya Tsunamoto! Giant killing actually won the Lodansha Manga Award best general manga in 2010

[Anime] Gintama: Catching up on a classic

To be honest... I really got into manga/anime at relatively late in the game... only having picked up the JUMP big three (One Piece, Bleach and Naruto) maybe 5 years ago... (though I've dropped Naruto, Bleach and is finding the mermaid land arc of One Piece a bit boring at the moment...) Well recently I've been randomly looking for new anime/mangas to follow and to fall in love with~ and have been totally addicted to Gintama (銀魂) story of a silver headed samurai~
