[Manga] Lovely complex: thoughts after completion

Love this tall girl, short guy couple story~ (o^-^o) for once I could see myself in a shoujo manga story~ XD

However at some point the arcs in the storyline was getting quite predictable...
- The rival arc: Mimi the tall girl ---> Kohori the short guy
- The rescue arc: Save Koizumi (from the hostess) --> Save Otani (from Hazuka's girlfriends)

Why did it always have to complement each other? O.O;

Anyways, apparently there's also the "lovely complex PLUS" chapters~ shall catch up on that soon too~ XD muwahahahaha~

okay... now I know why the author had put the Mimi arc in.... (=.=;) in a tall girl short guy romantic comedy manga of course there HAD to be a tall girl rival which of course HAD to be counter balanced by a short guy rival as well~ But different to Mimi the short guy Kohori is a bit more likable.... (OMG! O.O; am I a chib-sen too? >.<;) His directness in confessing to Koizumi was quite adorable... and although I did feel a little sorry for him that the Oba-san at their restaurant ended up kissing him after their Christmas party.... it was a really hilarious scene and a good punishment for him rocking the relationship of the Otani-Koizumi couple. I guess in the short guy rival arc.... I was more annoyed at Koizumi than anything else... :( DON'T DATE OTHER GUYS WHEN YOU HAVE A BOYFRIEND ALREADY GIRL!!! >:(

The Short Guy Group: Kohori vs Otani

After around 45 chapters... I'm quite glad that the author has finally decided to talk a bit more about the other two friend couples Nobu-Nakaochii and Tanaka-Suzuki.... it would have been even better if the friend couples stories interspersed the many love rival/ trouble arcs between Otani and Koizumi... I feel that there also could've been more on the height issue other than calling each other names all the time... for example, issues such as holding hands in public (i guess that was kinda brought up before they started going out)...... and being able to wear the bf's wardrobe without the clothes being too big... etc

Nobu-chan Nakaochii (aka lovely dovey) couple and Tanaka-Suzuki (studious and quiet) couple

At around chapter 50... the Koizumi's Jii-chan (grandpa) arc.... not liking this at all... :( what's with setting your granddaughter's boyfriend up with a hostess..... trying to split them up... and then in some twist of events ends up not being the hostess that Jii-chan sent... but is an even worse lady? Can't he try to sabotage their relationship in a cuter way? (=.=;) and Otani staying overnight with the hostess.... *tears out hair* >:( what kinda boyfriend does THAT!!! RAWR!! This is one thing I don't like about shoujo mangas... there always seem to be yet another love rival around the corner... :T

Though at the end of the Jii-chan arc was actually quite funny~ X3 Telling Otani the story of how Obaa-chan was actually taller than him~ X3(and the flashback to his youth where he was an Ikeman (handsome guy)! O.O)

Chapter 55, Seiko's transformation back to a guy... Q.Q poor girl~ he still looks really cute as a boy though~ (like a younger more feminine version of Otani~) Quite impressed by how he could cut his hair (something a lot of girls would cry over...) and change his looks just because of his voice changing... the author needs to give him a "manly" girl character as a girl(boy?)friend~ and then it'd be a happy ending~ X3 but poor Kohori... always gets picked up by the wrong girls....  Q.Q~ lol~ (good thing in the later chapter he finally gets a nice girlfriend, the Nana look-a-like Abe-san)

Chapter 57, Maity sensei's wedding~ Jody's Dad actually reminded me of my own Dad when we told him that bonbi and I were getting married... it may be a common thing for a Dad to feel like that when their little girl is getting married..... and to throw a slight tantrum like a little kid~ (^^;)~  the way that Otani pretended to be sleeping at the end was very sweet~ <3

Chapter 58, basketball club etc etc... well... I guess it's better than having yet another love rival... :T
